Bloodcurdling policymaking
Today, the fine art of policymaking for the good of the people of Scotland was undertaken against the background of grinding gears, bloodcurdling screams, and vein-pulsing deep vibrations. This is, of course, all in a day's work for the fine civil servants of Scotland, but there was a particular reason for it today, as the shows settle into their temporary site in Leith.
Many a policy has been proofed by a process akin to a spin on the Waltzers, and no robust piece of analysis ever suffered from a go on the Dodgems. And, let's be honest - aren't all the best policy initiatives conceived on a bouncy castle?
