This is the biggest ever clean out in Alaistair's Desk since we moved in.

With new windows in place, there was dust everywhere.

The study was stripped completely - and washed down, before everything went back in. Clearing the shelves, there was loads of CDs and DVDs which were cleared out. Do I need a copy of my laptop backup from 7 years ago.

It is interesting with the ammount of storage people have. Typically folk are having more and more. So someone travelling with a laptop may have, 300gb laptop, 300gb external drive (backup), ipod (120gb), usb sticks (10gb), phone (16gb) - so an average traveller may have about 1Tb!

It is estimated that only 3% off ALL storage is used.

If we look at an average business with 8000 users, 50 emails/day - that'll be about 6Tb/year just for the signatures.

As the disks fell on the floor, they made a nice pattern - so I added a few USB lights and blipped.
