Halsall Navvy

It's been a lovely day today here. Very sorry I was working and stuck inside so as soon as I finished I headed out along the canal bank for a walk. Instead of my usual loops I decided to just head in one direction for half an hr and then turn back. Meant I got to some new bits of the canal and came across this chap at the Sarecens Head pub bridge.

The Halsall Navvy apparently. In memory of the men who built the canal. Not overly sure why the statue has a bare bum though!

Amazing how the sun makes us all feel better isn't it.
