A hint of summertime

What a beautiful place the shore is especially on a day like today. I was on my way down to Ocean Terminal to run some errands but I couldn't resist getting off at the canal early and taking a stroll. The buds on the trees are just turning into miniature leaves, and on some of the trees were merry little colourful birds chirping away and diligently staking out there territory. (I wish I knew what kind they were) If I had had more time I would have chosen a spot in front of the many eating establishments, procured myself a drink and sat admiring the sun flashing off the water. Unfortunately I had things to do, I'm getting ready for my trip back to the land of ice and snow so maybe next time! Finished off the day with a relaxing session of yoga and it was still light out when I was walking home around 7:30, wonderful! I'm ready for you summer, it's been too long!
