Tweed

Up early, it was really dark with clear skies, I took Juno up Blackford Hill. It was really still and the city had some fog on the Forth and I could see this down the coast as my usual lighthouses were not visible.

The girls had their last fixture of the year, they beat a boy;s team without allowing the boys to score a goal. Probably the first time ever since we have played boys.

Down to Glentress to get the Xmas tree. Eco girls and myself decided to go a long walk along the Tweed. Juno had great fun breaking the ice on puddles and playing with the ice. She misjudged a deep puddle and had to jump swim her way through ice to get out.

We saw a salmon leap out and lots of goosander gathering.

A couple of weeks ago I was chatting to a guy at work about trawlers from Eyemouth, well over the last couple of weeks I have been looking out for trawlers that his dad and grandad had and managed to find some photos for him. While doing this I found this Eco gran, Eco dad and brother 1968?. I recognised my mum right away, she is holding my brother's hand while my head is buried in amongst the other kids.

I used to fish at this spot every year when on holiday. Fantastic find and I was astounded.
