waiting the train

Today it was a busy one. Many photos to be taken and no time to stop and do so, except at the station. Once the day has ended, while others are already getting ready to go to bed, I get my chance to make a few quick pictures with my little mobile.
"Click, click, click". Finally I have some strange shots.
I know this is not a new question, but why do people have the tendency to walk along side the train while it arrives at the station? Do we feel that this will help us to catch it earlier?
Sometimes I do walk when the train is about to stop in order to get nearer to a door, others I simply do it unconsciously even as I see it entering the platform. Find it really hilarious.
(Fell asleep while writing the comment…my hot drink is not cold and my neck stiff. I want a new sofa - soon very soon (evil laughter) )
