water vole

a lunchtime trip to Cromford Canal in lovely sunshine.

I watched a couple of families of ducks with 12 and 13 ducklings a piece and then walked under a bridge and spotted a lot of BIG photographic kit. Funny how I notice the gear before the photographer. He confirmed he had spotted water vole, exactly what I had hoped to do. I hung around a few minutes and there he was spotted again. Without his help it would have been lovely ducklings tonight but to spot the vole in the 30 minute window I had I was chuffed to bits.
