After the surgery
The operation on my wrist was done in the afternoon and I woke up just after 16:00 with a plate and screws attached to the bone. Everything seems to have gone well, but since there was so much pain in my wrist and schock to the body (my teeth clattered uncontrollably for a long time) the doctor decided to inject the arm with local anesthesia. That helped a lot with the pain, but my fingers felt like they were really swollen and I could hardly move them at all for the rest of the night. I'll sleep one night at the hospital and go home tomorrow if everything goes as planned.
...and it's amazing how bread with cheese can be delicious after no food for 25 hours ;)
