King and Emperor

A very long day today. Started early with a meeting at Highfields, then walked into town for another meeting before going into the office. Walked back up to Highfields late afternoon and then back again for a haircut then an evening meeting in Batley.

It's only when you are on foot that you start to notice these things.

This is a statue of King Edward VII by sculptor P. Bryant Baker.

It stands in front of the now vacated Huddersfield Technical College building (which was formerly The Huddersfield Roayal Infirmary).
