Beatrice

...in Much Ado About Nothing.

Another fabulous and original production at Manchester Royal Exchange.
Set in the 1940's, tho the female comic officers came on to Cagney and Lacey theme tunes and the masked ball ( amazing scene) was to Beyoncé....it was very clever, very funny and great timing and delivery. I went on a last minute whim and it turned into a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I really love the interior architecture and lighting of this theatre and the intimacy of the round and the whole atmosphere of the place.

I didn't buy a programme so don't know the actresses name, but this is the feisty anti marriage and men Beatrice, in position lying on the stage just before the lights went down and the play started.
