Thackray Medical Museum

Orla went to the Thackray Museum today with Grandma and Grandad. Here's what Grandma had to say about it:

Today we went into Leeds. We had a look at some modern paintings and some traditional oil paintings in the Art Gallery, plus we went upstairs in the library to look at the Millenium Leeds Tapestry.
Then, at Orla's request and as a special treat, we went to a McDonalds for lunch, and afterwards on to the medical museum. There, Orla had the good fortune to have an hour long one-to-one session with Isobel who took her round all the exhibits explaining everything. Isobel was most impressed by Orla's questions and by the extent of Orla's knowledge. (As am I!)
In the evening she wrote a card to Mum and Dad (which you will get when she sees you as not time to post it now). The choice of words is all hers and she just asked for a little bit of help with the occasional spelling. Then a nice little singing session in which she really enjoyed singing songs from school.
