Easter 'Bunny' Visits Queensland One Week Early!

The tail end of Tropical Cyclone Ita has been whipping its way down Queensland's east coast; no longer as severe, it has nevertheless brought strong winds and heavy rain to some areas.

Here in Maleny we've caught only its edge, resulting in persistent rain which began in the night and has continued throughout the day. Though this makes for a grey indoor day, it's great news as this area was in drought.

I was surprised to see this Brown Hare ( Lepus europaeus) in the garden this afternoon. This shot isn't great as it was taken through glass and rain, but I thought the hare deserved its moment of 'fame'!
