The garden gate

This beautiful gate belongs to Brook House, Stanford Dingley. We had a picnic lunch in glorious sunshine, on the bench at Stanford Dingley church today, then set off for a walk across the fields of the surrounding area. Even after weeks of no significant rain, parts of the walk were still very muddy following the vasts amount of winter rain. Changing back into our normal shoes after the walk, an old work colleague I had not seen for years appeared. She was also just visiting for the day. Small world.
