Cycling paraphernalia No. 1

I've mentioned before how great cycling is around here but what I hadn't mentioned was the sheer variety of cycling accoutrements. There is a cycling-related vehicle for every occasion and bikes are used to transport things, we in the UK, would never dream of. So far I have seen the following: a man cycling with wetsuit (in the city) and carrying a surfboard under his arm (we are never far from the beach here - I've actually seen this more than once - worryingly, one occasion was in January); the same old lady (at least 70) cycling past the school and pulling her golf bag and trolley behind her - seen her several times; similarly a teenager, pulling his very large sports kit bag behind him; someone cycling with an ironing board under their arm and the list goes on.

This 'vehicle' pictured is something you see everywhere - used to transport several children at once - sometimes called cargo bikes. I've also heard them be called 'nanny bikes' - wish I had one when I was childminding!!! Sometimes they have two wheels at the front, sometimes just one. Whatever, they're great!

More weird and wonderful things, related to the world of cycling, to follow, I'm sure.
