TRAVEL DAY
by car from The Weser Uplands to The Hague.
Our start and most of the day went well enough, only near Oberhausen we got stuck because of work on the road, combined with an accident and nearing home the A4 was closed and we got lost and it took us a long time to find the right direction.
After drinking tea I ventured to the park with the ponds and found so many babies around of all kinds of waterbirds. The swan in the picture was protecting his female on her nest with eggs, chasing two Egyptian geese away.
In the meantime Piet Hein had gone to admire the sea and later we walked to Mischa's place where we ate the delicious spinach curry that she had made for us all.
Feeling tired now, happy that we had a safe travel. Catching up tomorrow for sure.
My haiku:
Father swan's feathers
High up, like the ballerina
Dancing on her toes
And the proverb:
Den gewillige valt niets zwaar.
Translation: To the willing person nothing feels heavy.
