Town View

I see this view most days, but for some reason only now have I managed to get a satisfactory image. Perhaps the mono helps, perhaps the unusually good visibility meant the Harris hills are clearer than normal, perhaps I just managed to see a view I take for granted for what it really is and thereby break through the grey screen of familiarity which shields me from so many images. I live in a very beautiful place, a stones throw from the beach, a very short drive to town, a longer drive to dramatic hills. And yet life gets so busy, we don't always see the beauty. Slow down!
