Good Morning

Daylight savings has been a welcome change. I am, by nature, an early riser, but this spring the puppy enforces that. I don't complain, I enjoy my mornings.

Lately, they have been quiet. Mace and I head outside so that he may do his "business", and then head back inside for breakfast and coffee. He eats and finds his "spot" of light on the living room floor, and I sit and watch as the sun emerges from behind the trees. Once the sun shines through the windows, it seems to awaken the rest of the house, and our day begins.

There's something almost therapeutic about watching the sun rise. A new day and new hopes for the future.
