Off Road
Another fantastic early start (well for us at least) made the most of getting out on what was a day full of errands, lunches and visits. The air quality was amazing - the sky was just starting to build these spectacular cloud formations - shame I'm not up to a nice full day out yet.
This is the a view from on top of Orton Scar - but the best thing about this is that it wasn't taken from a lane or a path - instead I managed to make my way over some open rough ground for a mile or so, still came back on the bridleway, but its a start.
Had lunch with the excellent Alison Bloxham today who put my mind at rest a little about my progress -but still hoping I can browbeat the surgeon into doing a final MRI to confirm everything is as it should be. Ali also gave me details of a rehabilitation trainer that I think I'm going to book some sessions with. I've known Ali for a fair while now (& quite a few of her team) - one of our regular conversations is how people happily pay hundred's if not thousands to service & maintain their cars - but then do nothing about taking care of what should be their most prized asset - thanks to this team I've run marathons after being told I wouldn't walk without sticks and am back in the mountains I love - makes a couple of hundred quid a year seem like a fantastic investment to me.
I want to say it's all go now - but I'm slowly accepting that 'all go' is still a while away.
