Licensed to Chill

Roo and yet another chick

I had another trip down our high street in search of woollen creations tonight and Roo took a liking to this chick.

Some very talented knitters out there.

I'm a little uneasy tonight, I had to attend a meeting at work today, not good news for our stroke unit, by May we are to lose 8 beds and by June another 6 beds, staff will be redeployed if not needed which could be round three hospital sites in the midlands, the others will possibly merge with another ward that has bed closures but they deal with diabetics and gastro, sadly it could be between myself and another girl on the other ward as to who gets the job, at present the therapy dogs will be helping out on the stroke unit until things get confirmed as to the ward closing.

It's all due to government cutbacks,(so please don't have a stroke in this part of the country).

I've been working on Ward 8 for 7 years now, good nurses everyone of them, not just nurses, physios, girls that keep the ward clean, occupational therapist, speech therapy, dieticians, social workers, ward clerks, ward managers all of us are at risk.

I've not had a great year so far.
