The Dark Side

Despite the sunshine further south, we had murk today. Not to be put off we went for a walk in Glen Tress forest. It was busy with mountain bikers - great to see people out in the fresh air enjoying themselves. The mist and rain however descended and coupled with the cold wind, it was not a very pleasant experience so we retreated home with numb hands to warm up with a bowl of soup. After lunch I braved a short bike ride but again was forced in by the rain and wind. The rest of the day was spent watching the football and the golf - at least that way we kept warm. This photograph was taken at Glen Tress Forest where we came across these spooky looking faces in the trees - they seemed to sum up the atmosphere with all the mist and rain around us!
