Market Shadows

Shadows and ironwork on the old market buildings in High Street, part of Manchester's Northern Quarter.

I had a long walk in the sunshine, preparing my next urban guided walk through the City. Today took in the middle section, around the City Centre. Although I passed lots of well-known landmarks, less famous sites included Foundry Lane, and, in Corporation Street, the postbox beside which the IRA bomb exploded in 1996. The postbox was unscathed.

Today, I didn't visit the Circus Tavern, Europe's smallest bar, but I may do so tomorrow.
