Last of the Celandines...
I took some more photos of the Lesser Celandines in the garden this afternoon. Even Wordsworth liked them as he wrote a poem about them. Here's the first verse:
There is a Flower, the Lesser Celandine,
That shrinks, like many more, from cold and rain;
And, the first moment that the sun may shine,
Bright as the sun himself, 'tis out again!
I love them as they grow well in our garden - being quite damp! They're also from the buttercup family.
By this evening they were all gone! That's because they were all over the lawn which was mown after work.
A few may return, we'll have to wait and see.
