Fly Boo & Roo

Day 459 - of all the photos taken during day 1 of our Edinburgh trip this one of Roo about to board his very first flight I think is the best and sums the boy's excitement of the day nicely!

Although he gripped my hand v v tightly on take off (and for a while after) he was fine.

It was pretty much wall to wall sunshine at the home of blip and we made the most of the day and this glorious city.

We loved the hike up to and exploring Edinburgh Castle, the panoramic views and the 1'o'clock gun salute. We walked half of the Royal Mile and most of Princes Street Gardens taking in the sights as we went, we had Wagamama for tea before a slow amble back to our digs for the night.

It was a very happy day and the boy has taken a fancy to bagpipes and wants to have lessons and I have a new thirst for Iron Bru.
