Great Scott!

Day 460 - day two in Edinburgh and after a stomach busting full Scottish breakfast complete with haggis and scone we ascended to Calton Hill as it was another fantabulously sunny day.

We clambered on the monuments and our legs nearly gave way up nelsons tower and not just because of the stairs but the vertigo we both seem to suffer! We sat and soaked in the sun and the views of Arthur's Seat and Holyrood Palace before descended back down to mooch around the shops, a proper look at the Scott Monument (just a look don't think we would have both coped with the 287 stairs and the height) and a chill at the foot of the castle.

The boy had his heart set on a pop up castle we'd seen at the Castle the day before so off we climbed *again* to the historic Scotland shop before getting the bus back to the airport.

Was another long but smashing day, we even had time to build the castle before bed.
