Wind in the girss

Yesterday we enjoyed an unusually a busy day, not only did we visit the Great Tapestry of Scotland, we also went to the pictures to see Noah.

The view in Newburgh on Ythan this morning was rather reminiscent of the devastating deluge faced by Noah, his family and his animals. Fear not though, there was no flood, just a high wind from the north lashing the bent girss* into a frenetic dance.

*Bent girss, the local Doric dialect for grass growing on sand dunes.
