Old wall

Since the afternoon turned brighter I decided to walk up the old Gartmore road, where I'd spotted this crumbling, mossy dyke the other day when Gill and I passed it.

The wooden fence doesn't look too stable either, so I'm putting this into my Dilapidation Series. That dark speck in the sky is a bird, not a dirty mark on the lens. The white specks on the right are sheep.

Good old Conic Hill in the background. There'll be many walkers tramping up and down its slopes over the Easter weekend.
