After-Track Snuggles
Kaylee had such success doing Cross-Country that she decided to participate in Track and Field for her spring sport. In years past, she had exceled in Softball, but with a new school and new coaching, I think her comfort level was more with the "runners" from the fall.
She seemed to have a rocky start, unsure whether she wanted to continue for the first week or so, but lately she seems to have a better outlook. I'm not sure if it's because they've finally started holding practice outside, on the track, or if she's become more familiar with her teammates. Either way, I'm pleased that she's decided to stick it out until her first Meet.... we've told her that if, after the meet, she feels she'd rather not continue - we'd support her decision.
We were coming home from Skowhegan, and Mace was exhausted... he quickly snuggled in and this is what I saw when I looked over at them. Pathetic really!
