Easter
It's Good Friday, and I decided to get up early and make the most of the sunny weather due today. I took the familiar short journey to Titchmarsh LNR and was surprised by what I found. Most noticeable was the fact that the reserve is now 100% accessible having been badly flooded since Christmas 2013. Despite many plants still waking up, there were lots and lots of blossom, green shoots and buds to see. Fauna seen of particular note were: Red Kites, Buzzards, Blackcap, Reed Warblers (many!), Black-headed Gulls, and many new-born lambs in the adjacent fields. Being Easter, I thought this scene of nearby Aldwincle church particularly suitable.
