The Passion Play
4years 179days
Mummy and Victoria were today photographing the Passion Play in our town. Katie went with friends and a group of the other young people from our church. It processed through the town, stopping at various stages. I saw her a few times, up on shoulders or in arms, taking it all in. She was nicely back enough in the crowd for a lot of it that she didnt see everything, just enough to follow the story without it being upsetting. What she did see was explained to her and afterwards we talked through it. She took quite a bit of it in and recounted a fair bit to Grandad later on. She was, however, reassured to know that I had seen "Jesus" get in a car, happy and well!
We spent a lovely couple of hours pottering with Victoria then. Ice creams, chocolate eggs and such treats were a nice addition to the time. We came home and she had a play in the garden as I was finishing sewing her Easter dress. She had some time with the bunnies and then came and coloured some more of her Easter cards. She tried on her dress and twirled enthusiastically for a while, giving it her spin-test seal of approval.
Granny and Grandad arrived at teatime - which she ate large quantities of. All in all, a rather nice Good Friday.
