Tufted Ducks

I've been trying to get a photo of these ducks on the millpool for over a year but unlike the Mallards they tend to keep to the middle. Today this pair just came within range, but only just.
One of the mallards had eight tiny ducklings. They were dashing all round the pool, I can't imagine how she'd round them up.
