Capital Ring 1 - Richmond Bridge to Greenford
This is shot - would you believe it - is from underneath the M4 as it goes over the grand union canal. The capital ring is a 126km circular walk round london's suburbs. StorksRock decided it would be a good idea to walk the whole thing in stages. Its split into 16 stages but we decided to take on two today. We are lucky its only just under 3km to walk from our house to the capital ring at richmond. From there we headed north up the thames and onto the grand union. Its incredible how for 90% of the 12+ Miles we walked we were not on roads but in parks, by the river or by the canal. It was really quite an eye opener and a fantastic day out. The added bonus was that our lunch stop the Fox at Hanwell was a CAMRA pub of the year and had an Easter beer festival!
