Stopping the 90 Inch Cornish Beam Engine

A rainy day today but luckily we are meeting ButherlaziBird, E and G at Kew Bridge Steam museum. E is looking quite chuffed as this engine stands 3 floors high, the cylinder is 90 inches in diameter and at the request of the engine driver she has stopped this enormous machine by inserting a pin....

A very enjoyable day and great to spend some time catching up even better that it was in the warm and dry with some amazing bits of kit to watch.
