Castle Stalker
We walked across the newly refurbished Jubilee Bridge in Appin this afternoon, having no idea where we would come out. Turned out we could walk all the way to Castle Stalker View Café (now simply known as the View), taking in amazing views of the castle and hills as we walked in a semi circle round the castle on its island. I never tire of these views, different in every light. The only thing that could have improved it today was if the tide had been a bit higher.
The bridge was originally built to commemorate Queen Victoria's Jubilee but has recently been refurbished and has become part of the cycle track around Argyll. It's a great easy walk, good underfoot, with only a short burst on the road to get up the hill to the cafe. Well done, Appin Community.
