A Sturdy Structure
This impressive structure is the railway viaduct over the Crimple valley, just south of Harrogate on the main Leeds to Harrogate line.
It was built almost 200 years ago and comprises 31 arches.
The detail that went into what are basically industrial structures always impresses me. Note how the interiors of the arches are in red brick, in contrast to the external surfaces of dressed stone.
