Tissues Please!

I woke up to a winter wonderland this morning, so called the golf course to find it shut. Then called the Rev to say golf was off. He was not a happy bunny cos his wife had left him a list of duties to do in the house if golf was called off!

So I decided to indulge myself and stayed in my dressing gown and messed about on t'interweb for a full two hours listening to the last ever Wake up to Wogan. I have been listening to ole Tel since I was 24 and will really miss him in the mornings when I am getting ready and as I drive to work. I bliped the Radio 2 webcam on my Macbook at 0929hrs as Terry read his final sign-off. I must confess I was in tears! I am looking forward to hearing Chris Evans, but no one will ever match the mumblings of Terry.

Eventually got showered and dressed and out the house to meet hubby who had to come back to Newbury for a dentist appt. Texted Dad to say Happy Birthday! he's a grand 78 today... wonder if brother remembered? Did a bit more shopping in the afternoon and parcelled a present for under the tree.

Chatted to Mum and Dad on the phone a couple of times, and thankfully Royal Mail delivered his card (first class stamp only took 3 days to get there GRRRR!)

Went out for another dinner tonight, this time with our Alpha group from 3 years ago... an annual event and great to spend time catching up over a meal rather than a quick hi in the church.

I do fancy a lie in tomorrow but need to be down at NBC by 1030 for choir practice. Throat good now!
