Well, yes. What started as plan to buy a cheap knock-off bike too use as a runabout while on assignment in the west of the country ended up as a major bicycle renovation project.

What started as a weekend project to clean it up a bit over the weekend was escalated 2 hours later into a project, with a bald frame and a box of parts... So, 4 weeks later,with new tires, brake pads, saddle, wiring, mudguards, grips, pedals, a Koga front fork on this Batavus (hence the Batoga), new inbus bolts all over, it became a virtually new bike. I stopped just short of a complete frame paint job (and I might even do that as well...)
