Meg's ankle this morning was so bad that she couldn't walk on it, so she had to call a doctor out. He said that it was infected, and gave us a list of drugs to get, written in cryptic doctor-script that presumably could only be read by those in the medical profession.

Me and pops headed out, Poppy to look after meg by getting the drugs, and me to meet up with Alex to explore a Parisian abandoned railway.

The Petite Ceinture railway was a circular railway that linked all the major stations in Paris between 1852 and 1930, before the Metro system drove it out of business. The tracks and all the infrastructure still exist, and, if you know where, you can walk along it, an exclusive route though the city, overlooking boulevards and though deep cuttings.

Oddly, though, as we wondered along, we passed some SNCF workmen... maybe they're planning on bringing it back into use? Or at least laying some cable.

After a long walk along it with Alex, we turned back and made our way to find the others for a late lunch. Alex recommended a great noodle place, a bit like a wagamama. We said our farewells to Poppy who was heading south to see her parents, and then went for a wonder in the sun.
