Day of rest...
After church first thing, we had a late breakfast of real coffee and eggs on toast and then L took his family out with the dog to the canal at Stoke Bruerne for a walk. I am still feeling rather drained and snotty so stayed home. I prepped the dinner veg and whipped up some peanut butter cookies (a first time attempt and they were ok but not great).
I then sat down under my snuggly, fluffy cream throw to watch Saints v London Irish (although I think I may have rested my eyes once or twice). Once L and Co. came back Lottie joined me in front of the rugby for my blip, captured just after Ma'afu's super try.
We had tea and cookies then I challenged J to a game of battleships, which he duly won fair and square. We then had a three way a game of Cluedo (my favourite) which I would have won if L hadn't cheated. Hmmmm.
Dinner was salmon en croute with loads of veg and was delicious. We had a lovely meal even if J was playing his parents up a bit! They decided not to head back up to Lincolnshire until tomorrow and it'll be lovely to have them for a little bit longer. It'll be a quiet evening I think and I'm hoping for an early night but I have enjoyed my day of rest at home, I must say.
Happy Easter everyone!
