Byron Bay Blues Festival

Byron Bay Blues Fest! The day had come! A day that featured Kate Millar Hieke, Rockwiz, Iron and Wine, The John Butler Trio, Dave Matthews Band and, as featured in today's blip, a surprise performance by Passenger. What a day.

The music was sensational with some really great performances. Kate Mlilar Hieke was a delight with a voice that seemed to be able to do anything. As I said we weren't expecting Passenger, he was scheduled to play tomorrow, but being the kind and beautiful person he is he did a bonus set in the busking tent. Later The John Butler Trio did their typical music magic before The Dave Matthews Band tore the place down.

Jon, Matt and I all had an unforgettable day and even though we got home late with incredibly sort feet, legs and backs, it was nothing compared to the adrenaline running through us that caused us to keep talking about the day well past the point of lights out.
