Treasures
The kids are on vacation this week from school. Most April vacations, the weather is beautiful and we end up spending a lot of time outside cleaning up the lawn from the winter, or playing ball on the back lawn. This year is so much different... with snow still present in shaded areas, and the air still carrying a bitter chill, it's a different agenda for the week ahead.
The cold hasn't stopped the kids though, this morning, they set out across the road in search of a suspected meteor site. They didn't find the meteor, but did come back with vintage glass bottles in various sizes. I told them they may have good luck if they took the metal detector out too, so a quick snack and out they went. This time, coming back with an old steering wheel and a saw blade. I believe, they'll spend more time exploring our property for more treasures.
