Happy Easter

It turned out to be a beautiful day!

The kids woke early to find that the bunny, had indeed, managed to deposit it's goodies without waking up Mace. An egg hunt and a relaxing morning was spent at home, which was lovely. It seems like we are so busy during the week with spring sports and travel back and forth.

At lunch, we headed out to Kathy's and enjoyed a ham dinner with Heather, Courtney and Austin (Courtney's boyfriend). After lunch, we took the kids and dogs for a walk down to the lake to check on the "ice-out" situation. I was not surprised to find the kids testing their rubber boots along the melted edge of the beach. Goobers!

Mid-Afternoon, we scooted home to change our footwear and put away some leftovers in the fridge, and headed to Mom and Dads. Sonya, John and the kids had come up to share Easter with them and we wanted to say "hello" too. When we arrived, everyone was sitting on the patio enjoying the warmth of the sun. We shared stories, laughs and love... always so nice to see them!

A quick dinner of chili and homemade mac & cheese left us with full bellies and full hearts. A busy day indeed - needless to say - early bedtime tonight!
