Home Stretch.
(I realize that it's kind of confusing to put them together like this - the one on top is from May 2000, while the second one is unrelated, and was drawn this morning)
Only seven to go and I had to figure out a way to end the strip somehow meaningfully, but also not act like they were all graduating and going off in different directions. I thought it was kind of funny that the characters had no more idea what to do with their lives than I did.
The bottom one: I just drew this - I think I'm getting more comfortable, but wow that was complicated - and when I had to reposition Tad in the panel where he's flipping off somebody behind him, I had to redo the entire first three panels. A giant pain in the neck. Pretty funny, though.
*Things only I notice: both Tad and Zen are bad drivers - neither of them is looking at the road after panel one. And though Zen is supposed to be looking at the phone in panel two, and then rolling his eyes in panel three, instead it looks as if he is looking at you, the viewer, and then looking to the flashback in the last panel. Either way, I think it works.
