Bank Hols Monday

This is the other side of the view from yesterday. The backdrop is the Howgill and Middleton Fells, the 'grand houses' of Underley, Casterton and Grange Hall are in the foreground of the fells. Kirfitt Hall Farm built in 1625 can be seen in the middle of the picture, surely the most beautiful setting for a farm ever?

Another day of beautiful sunshine, I cannot believe how lucky we have been this Easter holidays! We had a lovely walk through the churchyard and then down alongside the river and then a stream. Flynn loves swimming, he was in the River Lune swimming happily and Heidi said to Mark and I, " I am so so proud of my puppy swimming, aren't you?"' We are all amazed the 3 legged puppy can swim so well and enjoys it so much! Dylan is very unimpressed by water but had to have a good wade around so as not be shown up by Flynn. Later on in the afternoon we dropped Mark at the train station so he could go home, get some work done and be able to get to work first thing in the morning. We've had such a great relaxed family holiday that we missed him immediately. We went to the park on our return and then I hid all the remaining Easter eggs in the garden for another Easter egg hunt!
