impromptu parade

this is a photo from when spencer was visiting. we went to the north end to get clam chowder and failed. but we did see an impromptu parade. so win.

every time i go to the north end it rains. and i always find refuge in a coffee shop that insists on playing soccer - i dont mind at all.

im writing this a week later. theres a snow storm outside which you will probably see shortly.

its nice to sit here, inside. clean and warm, watching the snow cover the world out there. i have to venture out there soon. but for now, the peace and quiet is one of the more calming things ive experienced in the past few months.

im finally feeling peace settling over my heart again. i can see now it was always there, i just wasnt seeking it in the right places.

i need to re-assess how i approach grad school next semester. i cannot crumble the way i did this term. i find hope in the fact that it was my first semester in grad school and my first semester as an english student. in the spring ill at least know what im getting into. also, i feel established here now. with wonderful friends and a familiar city.

happy advent. He is coming. and He is bringing profound peace.
