I haven't ventured far today!
So it is a garden blip for Earth Day.

Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes yesterday.
I had a long lie in after the festivities!
And a lazy day!

A wonderful evening at Salvo's with all the family last night.
Yummy food.
Delicious wine!
Lots of laughs.

For those who wanted to know about the food.
We had baskets of sourdough bread, crostini, focaccia, and crisp bread, served with extra virgin olive oil, and roasted garlic butter. To start with.

Everyone chose various pastas and pizzas for the main course.
Mine was Casarecce Al Anata.
Served with confit of duck, red onion and Sicillian sausage ragu.

Different desserts. I chose an assortment of sorbets. blueberry, mango, and lemon, with fresh strawberries.

The wine I chose was an Italian white, which I hadn't had before, but which was well liked. ( Girls only, as the men were driving!)
It was Cortese Amonte, Volpi, from Piemonte . ( Cortese is the grape variety)
Light and crisp with delicate citrus fruit aromas and " nuances of freshly mown grass" and almonds. ( fortunately I couldn't taste the grass!! Who dreams up these descriptions!!)
Any how it was delicious.
