I thought for St Georges Day it needed a very English blip, and so on the way home I asked Mr C to take a detour through the next village.
As well as the village pond, which features in many of my blips, there is a small village green, complete with stocks.
(Haven't been used for some time!)

When we set off it was blue sky and sun, but changed to rain before we got there.
I think one or two passers by wondered why this strange woman was taking photos in the rain!

So here it is, and I hope you like it.

Went to the garden centre this morning to buy compost to refill the pots.

This afternoon we both had our yearly eye tests.
Thought it was going to be costly, but neither of us needed new glasses! Our eyesight hadn't changed since last time.
Wow. What a relief!

Will be watching the last episode of Jamaica Inn tonight.
It has been a real disappointment.
Not just because the sound has been poor.
I can't remember so many complaints about a programme before.
Some of the scenes were shot in a local church, and quite a lot of the moorland was filmed on the Yorkshire Pennines, including the Inn itself!
However the beach was in Cornwall!!

I wonder if any other blippers have been watching it?
