When you are on the 6-1 diet things are very easy – just remember NOT to eat! You usually don’t even feel hungry, and the stomach shrinks so you eat smaller meals for the rest of the week.

If you go on the 5-2 then you are supposed to take in 500/600 kcal a day – you may as well be on a conventional 1500/2000 kcals a day diet with all the measuring out of the food, and getting hungry waiting for it.

However a bowl of porridge made up with skimmed milk is just under 300 kcals, and no trouble to prepare – no probs. That with the milk in my tea is ample for the day and easy to keep to without feeling (too) hungry.

It even gives me something to blip . . .
