The Memory of Trees

I am drawn to these poplars like a magnet because I like their structures - tall, straight , strong yet dainty, formal but yet beautiful. I have images of them through the seasons and find them fascinating. Today the buds and leaves are clothing the usual bareness with a lovely almost lime green colour, taking the edge off the winter and wrapping them in a softness I hadn't seen before. It was also a very dismal day and I wasn't sure if I was going to get a blip!

Those of you who regularly clock my journal must also be clocking Tilly's eye vet appointments coinciding on a fairly regular basis with 'trees' which are en-route to the eye hospital. Very happy to report that Tilly's eyes are all good and we don't need now to go for another 6 months!!

Whilst trying to do internet shopping for Mum I caught sight of one of the deer over the fence so dropped everything - well nearly everything - and shot as quietly as I could to the front garden. Hiding behind the bushes I managed a few shots but it was fairly dark at this point. She was munching the hedgerows but her Mum clocked me fairly quickly and they gambolled off.

I do love Enya In Memory of Trees
