Happy Easter
4years 181days
A lovely Easter Sunday!! Katie was up quite early, excited for the day ahead. I managed to set the egg hunt and decorate the garden without her realising. I sewed the bags for their hunt and she skipped around counting the minutes until her friends came. She put her new dress on and twirled to her heart's content.
Her friends came around 9 and they had a fab time charging round doing the egg hunt. The "Easter Bunny" had left her gift hung as the final part of her hunt - a cute name ring with her favourite animals. We had hot cross buns for breakfast, before we all headed to church.
The service was a family service. They did an egg hunt, they did some pictures, danced to the songs, sticky note prayers (she drew Monkey as something she was thankful for), and had a bit of a play with some of the little ones' toys. She had a bit of a wobbler on the way home, the kind that suggested she might be rather a tired Katiebaby. So I suggested she have a nap. She agreed and slept for almost 2 hours, snuggled with lennyblanket on the sofa next to me.
She had just eaten a very late lunch when we got a text inviting us to play at our friends' house. Well, she played. I ate crispie cakes and drank tea with Lydia's mummy. We werent home very long when the ice cream van drove past so I said she could have an Easter treat (its extortionate!) while tea cooked.
Happy Easter to you all
