Mummy & Ethan

This photo is only the 2nd time I got to see Ethan, despite him being 35 hours old here. He was, at different parts of the day, hooked up to a respirator and a device called CPAP, both of which were used to assist with his breathing.

In the afternoon we were advised that he needed more specialist care than what our local hospital could provide. Both he and I were subsequently transferred to the Intensive Care Unit at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where they have a world class neonatal unit.
